In our ballroom classes we teach the American style of Ballroom Dancing. These dances are divided in two divisions: American Smooth and American Rhythm
American Smooth dances include: Waltz, Foxtrot and Tango
American Rhythm dances include: Cha Cha, Swing, Rumba
Each Beginning student will continue in the Beginning class for at least eight weeks before he/she will be asked to join the Intermediate class. However, the Beginning student must remain in the beginning class for at least 6 months before moving to the Intermediate class full time.
At the Intermediate level the classes are taught the American Smooth and American Rhythm dances with the addition of the Salsa, Meringue, Hustle and Samba. This level of class will concentrate on strength and technique, dance positioning and foot work
Monthly Tuition – $60 per month per person
Wednesday evenings - Beginning Ballroom 7-8pm - Intermediate Ballroom 8-9pm

DANCE PARTIES – Included in our program are dance parties. We have found that this is a great way to socialize and get to know the other Ballroom Students. They are usually held twice a month on Saturday nights from 6-8pm.
Showcases - Our Ballroom Program hosts at least 2 Ballroom Showcases a year. This is a fun time of dancing and “showing off” those new dancing skills. We invite other ballroom studios to participate. These events are also open to the public.
The Showcases are enjoyable and entertaining. Other events throughout the year are available to the Ballroom Students such as seminars where we spend a day dancing and learning new techniques, special parties and viewing live competitions.
Ballroom Competitions – Some of DDI students are training to compete in state and regional competitions. We support these students by attending their competitive events. To date several couples within the program have placed 1st in numerous categories while competing.
Private Lessons – are available through Emanuel Vaceanu. Emanuel teaches American and International styles of Ballroom Dancing. If you are interested in a private lesson, you may contact him at broadwaydc@bellsouth.net
