Join DDI’s experienced ballroom staff down the exciting road of learning to ballroom dance.

Our classes are an excellent way to learn the different ballroom and latin dances.  We will get you out there on the dance floor and looking good in no time at all.  The classes are also a great way to socialize and meet new people, and you also get the added bonus of some great exercise!

Our program does not require a membership fee and welcomes students from 12 years old and up.  As an extra benefit to our students, DDI includes extra practice times throughout the week listed as “open dance floor” on our schedule.

Beginner classes - Wednesday at 7:00pm / Studio 4

Beginner II Class - Wednesdays at 8:00pm / Studio 4

Intermediate Class - Sunday at 5:00 / Studio 4

 

Open Dance Floor:

Monday nights - From 7:30pm - 9:00pm / Studios 3 
Tuesday nights - From 6:00pm - 9:00pm / Studio 3
Wednesday nights - From 6:00pm - 9:00pm / Studio 3

Monthly Tuition - Classes will be held and paid for in 8 week sessions.  The tuition for each class will be $80.00 per person for 8 weeks.  Ballroom parties will cost $5.00 per person and will be paid for at the parties.

Dance Parties - Included in our program are dance parties. They are usually held twice a month on Fridays or Saturdays and refreshments are provided. This is a fun and great way to socialize and get to know the other Ballroom Students, as well as practice your new dance skills!

Ballroom Competitions - Some of DDI students are training to compete in state and regional competitions. We support these students by attending their competitive events. To date, several couples within the program have placed 1st in numerous categories while competing.

Private Lessons are available through Susie Buck. She teaches American and International styles of Ballroom Dancing.

BEGINNER I BALLROOM CLASS:  In our eight week course you will learn the basics of 4 different dances.  We start you off with the classic Foxtrot which is a dance you can use on many different occasions to a variety of songs.  From there you learn the Merengue which is a fun party dance.  We then turn back the hands of time and learn the Hustle.  This is a class favorite and can be danced to many popular songs on the radio today.  Lastly, we finish the class with the romantic Rumba.

BEGINNER II BALLROOM CLASS: This eight week class let’s you continue in on the dance fun.  This time we start with the beautiful Waltz.  You will be gliding and turning down the dance floor in no time at all.  Afterwards, we learn the passionate Tango.  From there we add on to some of the Hustle you learned in Beginner I.  Then we switch to the faster Cha Cha Cha which is another great dance to keep up with the current songs on the radio.  We then finish with the energizing Swing.

INTERMEDIATE CLASS:  After you have experienced the beginner classes, it is time to step it up a notch and get into some fancier footwork.  Our instructor, Susie Buck, takes your dancing up to the next level.  We add new dances and build on to existing dances.  Pre-requisite is Beginner I and Beginner II unless approved by instructor.

ADVANCED CLASS:  For those experienced dancers, the fun never stops.  You can choose to perform in local shows, experience the thrill of dancing in competitions, or just have fun at that next party.  We are there to help you achieve any dancing goals you may have.
