Company Programs / Performance Ensembles

For the young dancer who is interested in a pre-professional experience, Destiny Dance offers three levels of performance ensembles:

Pre-Company, Junior Company, and Senior Company. Participation in these ensembles includes both intensive studies of technique and increased performance opportunities. Acceptance into Junior and Senior Companies and their technique classes is by audition or special invitation of the Director. Students may choose to participate in Jazz and/or Ballet companies.

The PRE-COMPANY ENSEMBLE is designed to be a preparatory experience for the young dancer, who anticipates auditioning for Junior Company. It is an opportunity for the child to explore a more intensive dance curriculum, and includes increased class times and a separate repertoire class.

Dancers accepted into JUNIOR and SENIOR COMPANIES represent Destiny Dance with the highest standards of excellence and professionalism in dance technique. These companies are designed to foster the growth of the dedicated and passionate dance student. Company members will have the opportunity to study and perform both classical and contemporary repertoire. In addition to studying with Master and Guest teachers from around the country, they will have the privilege of representing Destiny Dance at competitions, conventions and community performances. Parents should note that there are additional fees associated with these activities.

***** Junior Company members interested in Senior Company Ballet are highly encouraged to take the Pre-Pointe class which will help them to strengthen and prepare their legs and feet for the study of pointe, and the eventual participation in Senior Company.*****
