Hip Hop Lessons

Hip-Hop (6yrs old - adult)

DDI offers hip-hop classes for ages 6 and up. Hip hop is a street influenced type of dance infused with funky jazz and break dancing. Its style is demonstrated on TV & in music videos by today’s latest Hip-Hop artists.  At DDI, we teach many techniques of Hip-Hop such as Popping, Tutting, Freezes, Breaking, Gliding and more. The movements and exercises increase strength, muscle tone, musicality and stamina. The dance choreography develops muscle memory and performance personality. The routines often have a fun theme or tell a story. Because of movies and shows like America's Best Dance Crew, Hip-Hop has become one of the most popular styles of dance.This exciting, high energy class is fun at all levels!
